Went in for some raw oysters, we had a great bartender, we ordered the sampler platter of 3 different oysters they provided (only provided 3 kinds, so we were able to figure it out pretty easily) and they were pretty good. They were 3 different kinds, different shapes, different sizes but they did all taste the same-- that's not a bad thing, but I dig a little more variety with my oyster tours. Good place, great bartender, don't know if I would go out of my way to go back, but we liked it while there.

Always the freshest oysters and seafood! Tim is the waiter to ask for.

Based on the two previous reviews, we made sure to order the crab & artichoke appetizer dish (dip?). It was certainly okay, but not super - the crab flavor did not come through at all; it was, after all, just a dip. :) The special Greek Salad with salmon was quite nice for lunch. Others had the clams and the grouper berry salad for lunch and all were good. A little wine enhances this experience. Our waiter was excellent and the ambiance was delightful. Overall a delightful lunch out at Bell Tower. Give it a try...

The past two times I have eaten at this restaurant I have been diappointed. A few months ago a girlfriend and I went here and got the whole lobster. It was not good. I dont even want to talk about it. It was gross. On the bill we had been charged for things we had not even ordered. Very recently I tried this restaurant again. I got a california roll. It tasted like it was stuffed with tuna fish ...and it was not that good. And AGAIN I was charged for wine which I did not order. ?????

Stopped here for lunch before picking up someone from the airport. We were going to go to Bistro 41, but the outdoor seating was full. Decided on the Blue Point Oyster Bar and we were not disappointed. The service was great. I had the grilled salmon BLT: Excellent! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the tarregon mayo was an added bonus. I would order that again. The Chicken Ceasar salad was reported very good also.

Five of us went to Blue Pointe for dinner, with a couple of drinks the bill was 250 with tip. It may be a little pricey for some people. I had the St George Bay Sole, it was fantastic. I have never had a better New England Clam Chowder. My wife had the Lobster, it wasnt anything special but it was good for the price. The thing we noticed most was the fact that the wait staff were all in their 30's, so they really were at the top of their game. Over all, we will go back the next time were in Ft Myers.

Went with the family for dinner and everyone was very impressed. The bread was fantastic. I had the clam chowder which was only ok. The Grouper with a pumpkin butter sauce was very good. My wife had a lobster dinner that was very good. Overall, everyone loved it and plans to return.

Really disappointing. From the overly harried host staff to the overly breaded and over cooked perch, just not a pleasant dining experience. Throw in a side order of the food runner who spilled mussels all over my purse and you have a birthday dinner that was just underwhelming. To be fair the manager was very apologetic and offered her card to make things right about the purse and the appletini and other service was fine...but we won't be back.

Best seafood in Fort Myers. We had: Spicy Tuna Roll - Excellent quality fish, large portion Tuna & Salmon Nigiri - Likewise, quality of fish was superb Wild Blue Mussels - Very good. White wine & Garlic Sauce Sauteed Maine Scallops - The sherry butter, mushroom sauce was a table favorite; a lick-your-plate-clean dish Parmesan Crusted Lemon Sole - I ordered this and it was incredible. Definitely what I would suggest to order your first time. Delicious butter and lemon caper sauce. I would deter one star for the flaccid management, but the chefs and waiters shouldn't suffer his shortcomings. When we arrived, the manager was chatting on a cell phone and blocking the doorway - I had to physically push him aside to enter the restaurant. I believe he was on hostess duty that night, so we waited for a minute before a waiter rushed over and seated us. On the positive side, the wait staff was very congenial and attentive. Our (career) waiter was quick to bring out drinks and included extra sauce and bread with the leftovers - little nuances that really add to a meal. Overall, an excellent experience - highly recommended in Ft Myers.

I was visiting friends in Fort Myers and it seemed they dine at this restaurant pretty often and never have a bad experience. The staff is engaging and enjoyable but the dishes were very pricey. We lucked out with happy hour prices for appetizers but still paid a hefty bill with the alcohol. The food was good but not great for what we paid.

Fresh fish . . . what a novel idea for a fish restaurant! I've ate here 3 times always great! The first time my wife and I were milling around the Bell Tower shops looking for a place to eat. We were right next door and my wife said how about there? Are you kidding I asked, when did you ever get fresh fish at a restaurant? Stick you head in the door and take a whiff, my wife said, I did and wow, no fish odor even though I was 5 feet from the oyster bar. Man if you can't smell fish in a fish restaurant, that's FRESH! We were seated promptly and the waitress asked if we'd been there before and proceeded to tell us we were in for a treat, (she was right), and said everything was fresh. Really?? Fresh or fresh frozen?? She said only the shrimp and the calamari were fresh frozen, everything else was fresh. You know it's not only important that fish is fresh, but prepared well. I mean you have maybe 30 seconds between properly done and over or under done on a fillet. I ordered the swordfish, and my wife the mahi-mahi. Wow. Fresh and done perfectly. In addition, they have a cole slaw that's prepared with a vinegarette and blue cheese dressing that's killer. Price not bad for lunch, about $14 for swordfish is fine by me. Try this restaurant for Fish, you'll love it!

We come here at least once per trip for the Grouper Berry Salad (no blue cheese) and really wonderful bread. Not sure about the rest of the menu! Brent was attentive, but not pushy, like we were friends not "clients". Happy, light, upscale, relaxed environment.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in FM. Classy atmosphere, not trendy and annoying like some of the hotspots near by. The food is consistently good - never had a bad meal there, ever. LOVE LOVE LOVE their bread and their crab and artichoke dip is ridiculous, flat out awesome. Great place to get dinner before/after a movie, which is just across the street! I will say that on one recent trip my girlfriend and I had pretty bad service, but the manager was prompt to apologize and even bought us a round of drinks :)

Somewhat trendy restaurant in Fort Myers. Great seafood dishes. Sit outside if it is a nice night. Try the artichoke & crab appetizer. Fabulous fish dishes, yummy (warm bread) and a good wine list. If you have to wait...atleast you have Saks right there to run into;).

This was recommended to us when we first came to Fort Myers and we were not disappointed! The bread is delicious (the chef is from MI and I asked him if it was supposed to be like the rolls at Charley's - yes) I love the Chipotle Grouper and my husband loves the cole slaw! A favorite of ours!

Very average. Service was not the best, especially after asking about HH. I guess she didn't think we were going to tip? Calamari was overly breaded and not entirely enjoyable. I don't think the prices accurately portray the quality of the food... :( Their menus are also iPads?? What an enormous waist of money... you find yourself staring at a computer when the whole point of going out is for that interactive experience with the rest of your party... Oh well.

Went for a birthday dinner. Great deal; you get 50% off of 1 or 2; 33% off for 3; 25 % off for 4. Chilean sea bass miso was fantastic. Jumbo shrimp was awesome. Also got a piece of homemade key lime pie for my birthday. Highly recommend even without discount. Service was great.

Very good food and easy access w/ Bell Tower Shops. The place recently was renovated. Looks great and comfortable surroundings. Tried something new on menu - Sriracha Shrimp w/ Jasmine rice. Rice had a creamy flavor and was nice w/ shrimp sauce.

Lobster roll- too much celery salt and Mayo. Tuna roll- too sweet and tiny. Calamari - not crisp, no marinara. Crab - delish until burnt bottom. Shrimp and oyster- On fucking point! Manhattan - On fucking point!

Four of us went back to Blue Pointe to celebrate a birthday. It was more than a little disappointed! We shared a dozen Katama Bay oysters for appetizer. It was fresh but small! We have the coconut gulf shrimp, linguine Pescatore, and Paella for two. The coconut shrimp was deep fried and delicious. We had the Paella for two before. But this time, it was missing chorizo sausage, chicken was just a plain chicken breast, not enough saffron rice and the rice was burned on the side. When I complaint to the server. He checked with the kitchen, I was told we got extra shrimp so we did not get the Chorizo sausage. Well, it was the same four shrimps we got last time! There is no excuse for missing chorizo sausagel. What made it worst, three mussels were on the edge. The linguine Pescatore was good with the exception of mussel. Four more mussels were on the edge too! The chorizo sausage, burned rice, and mussels spoiled our dining experience. I would not recommend this place. In the restaurant business you must have consistency in your operation!

Half a dozen oysters, small piece of swordfish, grouper sandwich & two teas for $60 wasn't terribly bad. The fish was fresh and delicious. The oysters were small but tasty. $14.95 for 6 oysters was expensive I thought. The picture of the sandwich in the menu was better than what I actually got. Service was good with frequent visits to the table. Most of their seafood is imported from New York where they're based out of and some fish are brought from local sources. Overall I am not rushing to go back there again. Found this place walking by. Main reason we went is that we were going to the movies next door while Honda was servicing our car.

A few times a year we trek to this restaurant from the east coast of Florida, salivating along the way! Why? Because we know we will enjoy a fresh, ice cold seafood platter of lump crab, lobster, jumbo shrimp, oysters, and tuna. We usually get an appetizer of mussels or clams, and coconut shrimp or baked oysters too. They have freshly made rolls of pizza dough studded with sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, onion flakes and sesame seeds that come out of Blodgett ovens located on the restaurant floor. And to justify the trip, we take lobster rolls to go (TWO long rolls overstuffed with chunks of lobster and a side of veggies or fries for $18). We've splurged on delicious key lime pie during birthday celebrations as well. We've been coming here for about 5 years and the food has consistently been fabulous. We miss the oysters Florentine that was on their old menu (before their restaurant makeover) and question changes to the content and price of The (cold seafood) Platter but ultimately have no complaints. Usually Denise is our server and we LOVE her (she remembers us each time we visit the restaurant) but you can't go wrong with any of the staff. (I once had a boot on my foot and needed a wheelchair to shop in the mall in the same lot and she not only called the mall office to inquire about a wheelchair and arrange to have one put outside of their office for me but she walked us over to the mall office so we'd know where to go. THAT is service!) We were starving when we got to the restaurant and were digging into the platter before I thought to snap a pic so the tuna and oysters are already gone, as are several jumbo shrimp! Even so, I hope you see that their food is great. We are SO jealous of the people who live near this restaurant!

Unfortunately the quality of food and service has dwindled over the past years. This restaurant used to be one of the best around but now they simply don't give the effort to put out decent food anymore. I tried eating here twice in about a 4 month period so once in season and once not. My favorite fish dish was not fresh. The lobster roll is more like a lobster salad with mostly salad and the appetizer we ordered off the picture they had on the iPad only had about 1/4 the portion they showed not to mention sitting in so much grease we couldn't eat it. We also has someone order the burger and yes I realiZe ordering a burger at a seafood restaurant is ridiculous. The burger was frozen and overlooked. Neither time did the waitress have a manager come over or offer to take the food off. Either this place needs to drop their prices or get a whole new staff.

Came here with my parents and fiancée for dinner on a Monday night. Restaurant was very slow, which is to be expected on a Monday night during the summer. Server was polite, told us about happy hour specials, came back 10 minutes later and said, "ok happy hour is over so here's menus". We said "no problem, we weren't expecting happy hour anyway". He comes back again 10 minutes later and takes our order, appetizers, salad and entrees. Appetizers and salads come out then we are just sitting there. He says "oh, our power went out, I have no clue how long it will be before we serve you dinner but your welcome to wait". We say "ok, we will give it 10minutes". 15 minutes later we over hear him telling another table that the power won't be back on until tomorrow. He never comes back to our table to say anything, we waive someone down and say we are going to go somewhere else. No manager ever came over, no apologies, no hope you come another time. Just the full bill. I know it isn't their fault if the power goes out but there were only 5 tables in the place, a manager could have come over or they could have told us that they knew it wasn't coming back on. Maybe a "hope you will come back, let us buy you a drink". Some sort of positive communication would have been nice. The kicker is that we asked for another recommendation because we don't live in Fort Myers any longer and the server says "oh I don't know!".

This is an update and edit to my original review which I have since deleted. We went to Blue Pointe at the request of my daughter for her 23rd birthday. She was no stranger, nor I to the restaurant. Needless to say the food, service, and experience was significantly less than desirable this particular night. I followed up with a review and was promptly contacted by the corporate company and the General Manager. They were both true to their words; for that I am grateful. Winning back trust was not with me as I would hope this night was a fluke and will return on my own, but it was winning back the trust of my daughter. The GM has extended an olive branch and I trust they will make every effort to make her feel welcome during the next experience. My previous experiences were good from business dinners to an anniversary dinner with my wife. For that I will give them three stars until the next time.

Good food. VERY good service. Tablet menus are fun. Prices are reasonable to high. Enjoyed the atmosphere. I had blackened swordfish which was a little dry but the sauce served with it was very good. I enjoyed the spoon bread as a side.

This place serves a lobster roll that sweet dreams are made of! The best I've had in a very long time! Actually the best I've had outside of New England! They actually give you 2!!....made with really fresh tender chunks of lobster meat, a good quality mayo and nice crisp lettuce that's not a wilted afterthought as it is elsewhere. My plan was to get this to go for my lunch tomorrow, BUT as soon as I took a taste (in the vehicle!), I couldn't quit eating it....until I only had 2 bites left! Waaannnnh! Now I wish I had gotten 2 orders! .... I'm not that rich though! My only complaints are that it comes with fries and their blue cheese cole slaw and being that I didn't want fries this late or on a to go order I wish there were some other cold options like homemade potato chips, potato salad or a small side salad. And even though their blue cheese cole slaw is obviously made with fresh quality ingredients, it's too strong for me. I really don't think that I'll eat it. I would prefer a classic cole slaw or broccoli salad. Or a discounted price without either side. My other complaint is that when you look up their phone # on the Yelp or Yellow Pages Mobile apps, you get an (888) # that funnels you to an off-site reservation service that doesn't even answer the phone after 9 or have an option to be transferred to the restaurant in order to place a to go order or ask questions, so I was put in the position of trying to race to get there before 10 to get my order in when they could have had the order at 9:15. I barely got there in time, but they were very nice and accommodating to go ahead and place my order right before 10.

Delicious meal and a wonderful server. And for this northern gal, sitting outside in December for dinner... yay! The house salad with mustard seed dressing was very tasty. The fish tacos were really delicious. I was skeptical when the presentation was a bit unusual (with the fish on the side), but they were really tasty! The fries were a bit odd too... tacos and fries. ? They were really yummy though! I actually went back for the fish tacos again, on my way to the airport. They were calling to me, and they did not disappoint. At lunch I had the broccolini instead of the fries. :-)

We tried another restaurant first, but it was dirty, so we walked out. Blue Pointe was our back-up restaurant and we should have gone there first! Our waitress, Susan, was very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! I don't think I have ever had a fresher and more delicious shrimp cocktail. The salad was really good and the blackened Mahi mahi had just the right amount of spice. The only drawback was the mall location, but that is probably a bonus for some. We were too full for dessert, sadly, but we will be back!

Five of us enjoyed a very nice dinner here last night. We ate inside and found the decor very beautiful . Reminds me of legal seafood in Boston. Started with the delicious fresh bread they serve. We started with the Dynamite roll sushi which was very good and the crab artichoke dip also very good. Entrees of Chilean Sea Bass and Filet both very good. Only negatives where the desserts . We ordered Coconut Creampie and lava cake. Both where disappointing. The lava had no lava. We asked for another and they did bring it but that too was over cooked. If you go ask for Jay as your waiter. He was not ours but he helped ours out and has a terrific personality.

First time at Blue Point. Great oysters, great service ( kudos to Dave!), great menu. The menu is on a tablet and if you clicked on a menu item, you saw a picture and a list of ingredients. Very unique and trendy! I had the whole lobster special for $21.99! What a deal!!! And the server cracked it for me too! If you're an oyster fan, than you should come here. Oysters were fresh and chilled. They also run a happy hour discount on them from 4-9pm.

Blue Pointe has been our favorite place to eat since 2004! We went last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have been traveling and being busy and had not gone for a long time..it changed owners we just heard. That explains the bread that was served cold and dry, the portions that were slim and pricey. Yes, fresh fish but not $30 bucks for five pieces of steamed asparagus and a tiny piece of fish, I am being literal! The oyster sampler jumped to $50 bucksmd that is for 6 oysters. I am sad that I will not be able to enjoy the quality of the "old" Blue Pointe. We are not going back. Thankfully Bistro 41 and Cru are on the same mall.

I have been to this place twice in two days. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and very modern. The food tonight was super. I had the parm crusted sole with lemon and capers. Plus kamata oysters that were the best. This is a lovely professional restaurant to visit.

Here we go again. Back to see if things had gotten better. Yes! Had a 7 pm on Saturday night reservation again. This time they had oysters, had lobster and better service. I had the petite filet with lobster tail with broccoli as my entree, started with the new england chowder and oyster sampler. It was well worth the return. This was what I expected from an old favorite.

Great seafood. Chris was an excellent waiter, knowledgeable, with a super personality. Ask for this friendly above par server. Maggie had the tempura fish and chips. I had the grouper berry salad. FANTASTIC... Next time it's the paella!!!!!

I was looking for a nice place to take my two Aunt's that are in their 80's for lunch that served fresh seafood. This place did not disappoint. They had their menu on ipads which was hard one Aunt to flip through and they graciously brought her a paper menu. We sat outside and had Mechelle as our waitress. She was patient and very professional with our group. One Aunt had the coconut shrimp and loved them! The other Aunt who is harder please had the Mahi. We all had sweet potato fries and Brussel Sprouts; they were to die for. It was the best meal I have had out in Ft Myers. My Aunt wouldn't stop talking about it and how she has a new place to take family when they visit.

This mall resto is yet another "just ok" place. I have to say the three star is for the crab cakes, which was the best thing ordered. The tuna Caesar was good. But do not order the Alaskan King Crab Legs for $40. Not not worth it, even though the waiter assured me it's "really" good. If you've ever had fresh crab then this was a joke. It was meally and really salty, like it was boiled in heavy salty water. Should have known better!! To top it off, we had a forgetful waiter!

Um, this place has always been good for me. My wife and I always sit at the bar for dinner (at most places actually) and we have a good time with Mike, the bartender. The people are friendly and the food is very good. The bread is fantastic as is the cole slaw, which is very unique. I can't say I've had anything here I didn't enjoy. With that being said, for some reason I like the Crab Cake dinner over the CC sandwich. The Shrimp Mediterrano is worth the try. BP is one of my go to places in Fort Myers.

  • Edward H.

This used to be our favorite place in South Fort Myers. The last time we ate here about two months ago the food was so bad the manager sent us complimentary cards to try again which we did Friday night. I had the lobster roll which was not bad but far from New England quality, much too much mayo. My wife had shrimp which was overcooked again with a strange taste that could not be overcome with cocktail sauce which we had to ask for as well as the new recipe coleslaw which was also a disappointment. It is really shocking that this place was crowded, the food quality and noise level make it a place to stay away from not to mention the high prices for average to below average food quality.

  • Terry S.

We ate there last night. I liked the menus on iPads. Very clever. And their bread was freakin' awesome. I ordered a wedge salad, which was kinda limp and blah... And I got the filet and lobster tail. I ordered medium rare and got raw. The lobster tail was good. But, overall I was not impressed.

Food is good, not bad but also not excellent. Menu offers a lot of choices but service can be slow and service is really bad when it's busy no matter if it's lunch or dinner. Not sure if they just don't have enough help or the kitchen is that small and can't meet the restaurant's demands when it's at near full capacity. The restaurant is known for it's blue cheese coleslaw which is very good so make sure to try it.

Great service, ask for Kenny. Oysters had amazing flavor and were perfectly chilled. The scallops were as good as they come, and they came fresh from Cape Cod. Highly recommend!

Upper scale seafood restaurant. Staff generally seems off put by the intrusion of patrons on their turf. Food quality fluctuates but generally leans towards good to great. Oysters aren't always fresh nor does the shucker always do the job in a timely manner. Have sat outside where they've allowed patrons to smoke despite laws against it. It's decent and if you're in the area, worth trying.

Delightful evening meal. My wife and worked our way thru the tapas portion of the menu, enjoying oysters, mussels, a grouper salad, tuna sashimi, and NE clam chowder. Gloria Ferrer blanc du blanc was a nice pairing. Very good service.

Had great food and great service, but the new owners have made some changes, and some of the new staff seems tragically under-trained. Some of the dishes seem a little lighter on quality and quantity, but that could be why the old owners sold out. We love the redesign inside and out, but a pretty restaurant doesn't make skimping on quality OK. Be sure to try the coleslaw if you go.

I had a wonderful lunch here today. The blackened salmon sandwich was very good - I requested the pineapple and apricot salsa instead of mango mayo and the flavors were perfect! While I wouldn't call the salmon "blackened" (it wasn't at all spicy), the flavors were very good. I also appreciated that they allowed me to sub a different side for the fries at no additional cost. My server Kenneth was excellent. The sangria was quite tasty (and reasonably priced at $5.99 a glass). I would definitely recommend this spot and will return when I'm back in the area!

We had a very nice meal. The food was prepared well and our server was very nice. We sat outside on the patio and it was nice they had the heat lamps on. The only thing I would say negative is about how slippery the floor was. You had to be very careful walking on the tile. Otherwise I would definitely go back and bring friends.

It all started with an unorganized wait time. We were a party of 2 but they screwed up and we waited an extra 25 minutes. The server was brain dead. The food was OK, but not great. Overpriced. They tried to charge us for stuff we did not order. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Ate here last night and was very surprised. Place is 3 weeks old and they seem to have got everything down pat in a short time Service was great. We had a concert to go to and they took care of it - no problem. Food was wonderful and we are very picky "foodies". Swordfish, salmon and scallops all perfectly cooked and the blue cheese coleslaw and warm bread as well. Nice touch on a good wine list-choice of bottle or 5 or 8oz.glass . nice touch and reasonably priced. The only negative was the noise level which is very high. The funniest thing is this is owned by the same company as Real Seafood in Naples which I panned a short time ago. The manager couldn't understand why as the 2 chefs trained together. Regardless this place rocks. Also a great raw bar which is also featured in their happy hour. In a city with few choices near Barbara Mann this is wonderful. Ken Naples

We went here on the advice of a hotel employee since a business associate and I were traveling on business and didn't know the area. We went on a Monday night and the place was about half empty. We sat inside. It had a nice quiet atmosphere and we had great service. Our waiter was very helpful as what to order. We both ordered a california roll sushi for an appetizer which was good but not great. The bread was excellent though. Warm pizza bread! On to the main course. I ordered the black grouper with garlic mashed potatoes and it was outstanding. It had great taste and texture and the potatoes were excellent as well. My friend ordered blackened perch with a veggie and he thought it was excellent as well. For dessert we both had key lime pie. We were told it was homemade and it was awesome. Definitely tasted homemade. Overall we both had a great experience and would definately come back next time we are in Fort Myers.

Have visited a couple times before this one; each time, they have consistenly delivered great service, high food quality in a very friendly manner. Each time I went, I sat at the Bar; on this occaision, I ordered a Salt and Pepper Tuna app- quite good, noting it was covered in a shaved carrot topping which was less than appetizing; if you order this dish, I recommend that you ask the carrott to be replaced with their coleslaw - sure seemed to popular with folks sitting around me. Tip: Not sitting at the bar; make sure you make a reservation. There were some folks still waiting when I left.

For a start let me say we have been here before several times.the changes that a new owner or in are not good. The foods was exceptional before.now just so so. Walked in waiter was rude and condescending..first course oysters.not bad although sold out of blue point at 700 on a Saturday. Soup and artichoke dip fair.dip was burned, chips were stale.coleslaw was very strange.never had blue cheese In coleslaw before. No lobster at all on a Saturday night at 730. Seafood restaurant no blue point oysters or lobster tails. Wife wanted a moscato wine. None next main course. Steak over cooked over spiced and just tasted terrible. Wife couldn't eat shrimp they were too dry and the accompanying broccoli had no liquid at all.had to ask for butter and/or sauce. All in all don't go, don't come, stay away go to any other restaurant. It has to be better.

I was able to book a reservation via open table for last minute Valentine's day plans. I am a huge seafood fanatic and I haven't had any luck finding quality seafood restaurants in the area. I ordered the twin lobster tails and my boyfriend ordered the filet mignon. We definitely enjoyed our meals, everything was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and had a great personality. We will definitely come back again.

What a pleasant surprise. We stumbled upon this place while catching a movie at Bell Tower...we went back the next night for dinner. Service was excellent...attentive yet not annoying. Made excellent recommendations. Food was excellent...we had the stone crab app, scallop entree (WOW) and Baja Lemon Sole. Blue Cheese coleslaw surprised us...very good. The bread....beware! Highly addictive. Handmade dough, prepared slightly under cooked which is just perfect. Whipped garlic butter was a nice addition. Dessert...crime brûlée. I've had better, but it was still very good. We will return for sure. Awesome dinner!

We chose this for our first dinner on our first visit to Fort Myers. We were a bit concerned that the restaurant is located in a mall, or attached to one, but the mall and parking lot dissolved once we were seated on the quiet patio and the meal began. The food was amazing and our server Tim met all of our requests willingly and efficiently. We began with an oyster sampler and a bottle of white wine which arrived with a chiller. On a hot night that was a very good beginning to the meal. We quizzed Tim on the local fish on the menu and chose the grilled grouper accompanied by baby bok choy, and asked for an entree portion of the Salt and Peppa seared tuna app and was cheerfully accommodated. It arrived perfectly seared rare and was delicious. Our first and one of our best meals in the city of Ft. Myers.

Stopped here on our way to Captiva while on vacation. I want to preface this review by saying that my husband and I eat a lot of fish. The restaurant is casual but classy, outdoor seating was refreshing. We started with oysters, delicious. It's hard to screw up raw oysters though. The fresh bread was good, and the wedge salad was fresh. I got the crab stuffed sole and the husband got the grouper. Again, we eat a lot of fish that we catch/buy. This sole was absolutely delicious. My husband said it was in the top three pieces of fish he's ever had. He had the grouper which was also good. The waiter was great, friendly, attentive but not overbearing. I would go back to blue pointe again without question.

I could tell the food was good but I was so turned off by the slow service at the bar. Even bartender was pissed about how understaffed they are.

Stick to the seafood. I went with a steak and was dissapointed. That said, the oysters were excellent, and everyone else in my party who ordered seafood enjoyed. We had an enormouse work dinner with three large tables and the servers were very attentive. Never an empty beverage, which is of the utmost importance to me.

Stopped by this joint right before we left Florida and it was a sweet spot. Our server was very welcoming and we told her we were catching a flight so we would like our app and entrees at the same time. Whether it was because we were eating at 3:30pm and not many people were eating during that time or if it was because we said we needed to catch a flight, our food came out piping hot in about 10 minutes after we ordered! Awesome! The pre-dinner bread was garlicky and steaming. So yummers! Then our coconut fried shrimp were crispy and sweet from the absolutely balanced dipping sauce, which tasted more like a homemade mango salsa. I got the seared tuna on a bed of Caesar and my Hunny Bunny got the lobster roll dish with fries. My fish was cooked and seasoned well. Hunny Bunny's dish came with 2 ginormous lobster rolls with ginormous pieces of lobster claw meat! Sheesh! I tried some and it was tasty and fresh. We left Naples and Fort Myers and FL happy and full. Would come back for more!

Main Street Mainstay in Fort Myers for great seafood We love oysters and often have them here. They come from the northeast, no appalachicola oysters here. Cold and properly served, always. My favorite entree is the Parmesan Crusted George's Bank Lemon Sole. This is really first rate and I've probably had it 20 times in the past 8 years (I've been going since they first opened) and it has always been properly cooked (to me that means not overcooked). The coleslaw is even worthy of note: blue cheese and no mayo. It is very good. Their bread used to be awesome as it would come from the oven redolent of garlic and butter. It comes sans garlic these days, mores the pity. Right now is their $19.95 Lobster Fest. Whole lobster, veggie, cole slaw and bread. Nice wines and a staff that has primarily been there since they opened. Always a good sign.

The food was great, service was amazing, but not very kid friendly. The restrooms didn't have any changing tables for babies. After asking manager her response was bathrooms to small. The bathrooms were big enough and could easily have a fold down.

5 ladies enjoyed a quiet Superbowl night at Blue Pointe. Very professional waitress, very knowledgable and we learned it was her 3rd day Blue Pointe. Excellent food and lovely decor.

Very disappointing. The service was awful! The waiter was undereducated, had to wait 20 minutes after seated before he greeted us, and didn't know any of the answers to our very basic questions. He did not clear our dirties after our apps/drinks and the manager kept coming over to check on the people next to us, but never us. Now the food.... The oysters were not fresh, not served with proper utensils nor shucked well. My carnivorous husband ordered a burger that could have been a nice burger if it wasn't cooked to death. My clams were good and fresh and the bread was delicious. The wine list was adequate and atmosphere was nice. Overall... Not worth the hundred bucks I spent on 2 people. I don't recommend it.

Have ate here on multiple occasions and have never had a bad experience. Parmesan crusted sole is an outstanding dish and the oysters are always top notch.

First of all I was traveling on business and went out to grab dinner. I forgot it was a Hallmark Holiday (aka Valentines Day) and the first 3 places I went were packed. Looked up restaurants on the GPS and this place popped up. I approached the greeter, I was by myself and I never saw a sorrier look because I was dining by myself on Valentines Day. Nothing to be sorry about, I'm happy being single. Get a grip, people do travel alone and dine alone. Food was just ok. I sat at the bar and had some clam chowder (watery and more stock than ingredients. Dinner was a crab cake sandwich on caibatta bread. The crab cake was good, but only about 2.5" in diameter. Wished I would have tried something different.

The only reason I won't give this 5 stars is because it was a little dark inside. I ordered the Parmesan encrusted sole with lemon butter and capers . My waiter was very friendly . The bread fabulous . The cole slaw was delightfully different and pleasing with onions, blue cheese and a sauce I kept wanting more of. The fish was perfectly cooked and tasty it came with garlic mashed potatoes which were not too garlicky . I definitely would go there again .

We came in on a Tuesday night around 5:45, and there was a pretty good crowd, but we were seated promptly. The hostess that seated us was very nice, and was helpful when we asked about the local shopping. We ordered a few of the sushi rolls, and the house salad. The rolls were good. I had the spicy tuna rolls, and there were pretty large pieces of tuna inside. The mustard vinaigrette was good, but there was a little too much dressing for my taste. I also ordered the salad with no bleu cheese, but it came with it anyway. My wife and I split the crab cake "early plate". Wow. These were some of the best crab cakes I have ever had. Very little filler, and really great taste. The waiter even split the plates for us. Pleasantly surprised. As it turns out, the waiter put the order in for the full crab cake dinner. However, when we brought it to his attention, he fixed it right away. Great service! As for the dessert...the Creme Brûlée was just OK, not the best we've had. The Chocolate Meltaway Cake was good. I would go back, just for the crab cake. Great stuff.

This place has really fresh seafood, getting deliveries every day. They happen to have a gluten free menu which is great when you have celiacs. But that is why I chose a seafood restaurant, seafood is naturally GF. I had the swordfish which is hearty like a steak.

Excellent dinner! Locally caught grouper was fantastic. Salads have very fresh greens and bread is excellent. Great value for what you get. I will definitely return.

Went with another couple last night and were severely underwhelmed. The service was very good, the bread was to die for, and the rest was abysmal. This is a seafood restaurant and they have no idea how to prepare seafood. My wife's scallop dish, which was highly recommended by our waitress, was overcooked and poorly conceived. My Mahi (the special),was also overcooked and just blah. For this they charged $24.95? Go for bread and appetizers- stay away from the entrees.

Excellent food and excellent service. I had NY strip and spouse had swordfish, both were top quality. We had tickets to a show and after asking our server had our dinners to us in great time even though the place was slammed on a Friday night in March, high season. Seafood is flown in and that's what you should order, I was in the mood for steak and was happy with it. We made reservations online and ran late due to traffic (1 hr. trip) but the hosts were gracious when we called to tell them and held our table. Thanks so much! Parking is a real issue in season, not enough of it. Here's what I did, circle around to the other side and park, then use walkway through the shops to the restaurant. I guess out of towners (we are) don't figure it out so there are more spaces on the other side. After dinner on our walk back we saw an amusing event. Dozens of leashed dogs with owners in the courtyard listening to live music. Must be a regular event because dogs on the way in looked eager like they've been before. All sizes from Great Danes to chihuahuas, all well behaved. Employees with pooper scoopers kept it clean.
